Individuality
Every organisation has its own character, purpose and story.
Repro Graphics began in Takapuna in 1978 as a small copy centre.
Our original purpose was practical: helping people reproduce and share important information. But behind every page was an idea, and behind every idea was someone who wanted to be understood. As our customers’ needs changed, Repro changed with them. A defining moment came when we became the first company to introduce a digital press to New Zealand—a pioneering milestone recognised by Prime Minister Jim Bolger. It demonstrated something that continues to define us today: respect for experience, combined with the courage to evolve.
Over the years, copying grew into printing. Printing expanded into design. Design moved beyond paper and onto signs, uniforms, merchandise, publications, websites and screens. The tools changed, but the reason behind our work did not.
We have always helped people turn what they want to say into something others can see.
HISTORICAL TIMELINE
HOW WE WORK
Today, we express that commitment through branding, design, print, signage, uniforms, merchandise, publications, websites and video. Different capabilities. One connected purpose.
We do not begin with a product catalogue. We begin with a conversation.
We listen to what you are trying to achieve, understand the people you need to reach and consider how your organisation should be experienced.
We then bring the right ideas, people and capabilities together to express your brand consistently across physical and digital touchpoints.
Sometimes that means creating one important item. Sometimes it means coordinating an entire brand experience.
In either case, our approach remains the same:
Understand the purpose. Care about the details. Make the process easier. Deliver work worthy of the name it carries.
THE STORY BEHIND THE STRIPES
The zebra has been part of Repro Graphics since the beginning.
Our founder, Greg Skudder, loved zebras so much that one became the company mascot. His enthusiasm even extended to a Jeep painted in unmistakable black-and-white stripes.
What began as a personal fascination became a fitting symbol for Repro.
No two zebras carry the same pattern. Each is distinctive, yet immediately recognisable.
We believe strong organisations should be the same—not made to look like everyone else, but helped to express what makes them unmistakably their own.
Every organisation has its own character, purpose and story.
The strongest results come from different talents working together.
A clear and consistent identity does not need to shout to be noticed.
Distinct by nature. Stronger together.
Made to be recognised.
REPRO TODAY
Today, Repro Graphics is led by Warren Fernandes and supported by an Auckland-based team bringing together creative thinking, practical knowledge and production experience.
Our ambition is not to leave Repro’s history behind. It is to build upon it.
We are preserving the personal service and attention to detail of a local business while expanding our ability to help organisations manage their brands across an increasingly connected world.
We may work with more technologies, materials and channels than we did in 1978, but our customers still deal with real people who listen, advise and take responsibility for the outcome.
Our role is not simply to produce what a customer asks for. It is to understand what they are trying to achieve and help them find the best way to bring it to life.
OUR COMMUNITY
Repro Graphics has been part of the North Shore community since 1978. The schools, clubs, businesses and community organisations around us have helped shape who we are—and we believe support should travel both ways.
That is why community involvement is not an occasional campaign for us. It is part of how we do business.
Through sponsorships, donated services, practical assistance and long-term partnerships, we help local organisations communicate their message, celebrate their people and make important initiatives more visible.
Sometimes that means supporting a school event. Sometimes it means helping a sports team wear its colours with pride. At other times, it means contributing signage, printing, design or merchandise to help a community initiative reach more people.
The form of support may change, but the belief behind it remains the same:
Strong Communities Are Built When Local Organisations Stand Behind One Another.
For us, sponsorship is not simply about visibility. It is about participation. It is about using what we know and what we can do to support the people who teach, coach, organise, volunteer and create opportunities for others. Because being a local business means more than working in a community. It means being part of it.
RECOGNITION AND LEADERSHIP
Warren’s journey extends beyond the leadership of Repro Graphics. His contribution to entrepreneurship and community life has led to recognition and opportunities to participate in wider conversations about building businesses, taking calculated risks and creating sustainable growth.
OUR TEAM
Repro Graphics is not defined by machines, materials or software. It is defined by people.
People who ask questions before suggesting answers. People who understand that colour, placement, timing and finish matter. People who take pride in seeing an idea move from an early conversation to a completed result.
Our team brings together different skills, perspectives and areas of experience. What unites us is a shared commitment to making the process clearer and the outcome better for our customers. Behind every project is a group of people who care about getting it right—our only because the work carries the Repro name, but because it carries yours.
Bring us your idea, your ambition or the challenge you are trying to solve. We will listen, help you find the right way forward and bring your story to life with the care it deserves.
Because the best partnerships do more than complete projects. They create progress.
